In this acute rehabilitative setting, therapy encompasses all aspects of the field of Speech Language Pathology, including speech, language, cognition, swallowing, voice, fluency, alternative and augmentative communication and coma stimulation.

In the past three years, I have gained experience in a variety of settings. I completed my Clinical Fellowship Year in a subacute facility treating adult and geriatric patients with Alzheimers, tracheostomy and ventilator dependence, and long term care needs. From there, I went on to become a traveling therapist, treating adult and geriatric patients in acute care hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, and children and teenagers with multiple disabilities in elementary and high school pediatric settings.
