How do you try to make a difference in the lives of your patients?

I use a therapeutic approach that is respectful, empathetic, and open to individual needs, strengths, abilities, and preference.  I have multiple resources by working with other providers to help meet individual needs, I have a solid understanding of co morbidity.  I believe through team work, education, and an open mind, clients make progress when they feel understood and have the appropriate services.  The family as a unit is also an important component of understanding the client and the role they adopt in that unit.  It is vital to coordinate with service providers who provide medication or skill building services if applicable, to see successful outcomes.
