How do you try to make a difference in the lives of your patients?

With my patients, I do my absolute best to listen to their concerns and provide them with the educational tools and resources they need to be at their healthiest, which essentially, reduces hospitalizations and allows them to effectively manage their disease process at home.

Every year at the conclusion of National Respiratory Care Week, I host a 5k to raise funding for the ALA, in honor of my son. With the support of my amazing family, friends, and the surrounding community, thousands of dollars has been raised!

    Attributes Success To:

I attribute my success to God, first and foremost—I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for His grace and mercy. Secondly, my family has been the support system I needed to excel in my career. In 2013, my beloved son passed away from pulmonary complications, which devastated my entire world, including my career as an RT. With God and the support of my amazing mother and loving husband, I was able to slowly get back on track and use my experience to help educate and inspire others, and continue to move forward in my career.
