Dr. Jeffrey K. Shinoda is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Jeffrey K. Shinoda, Pharm.D., Inc. a privately held corporation. JSI was incorporated in 2004 for the purpose of improving and promoting the role of a clinical pharmacist, with emphasis on the Oncology Pharmacist as a specialist to colaborate with Medical Oncologists for best patient outcomes.
Dr Shinoda is also one of the few pharmacists in the country, that is licensed as a mid level practitioner/advanced practitioner�with a valid DEA license to prescribe medications. He helped pioneer the role of the Oncology Pharmacist, and with the aid of the California State Board of Pharmacy, and the Drug Enforcement Agency, was able to allow pharmacist with clinical roles, and patient care, to have the ability to apply for such privileges in the state of California since April 2005. He currently exercises this practice with California Oncology of the Central Valley.
In addition to his work at Jeffrey K. Shinoda, Pharm. D., Inc, and California Oncology of the Central Valley, Dr. Shinoda has been the Pharmacist in Charge for the California Cancer Center, of which he was the oncology specialist for the entire Community Medical Centers of Central California Hospitals. Dr. Shinoda, was also the Pharmacist in Charge, as well as Radiation Safey Officer for Syncor International, a nuclear pharmacy which provided time critical radio-pharmaceuticals to the Central San Joaquin Valley.
Dr. Shinoda has served as a Board of Trustee for the California Pharmacist Association.� He has also served�as Past President for the Fresno/Madera Pharmacist Association. He has continued to promote the visibility and role that pharmacists play in patient care. He even developed a commercial to promote and advocate the pharmacist as a health care provider, which earned him the distinguished honor of the 2008 Bowl of Hygeia. Dr. Shinoda, with his clinical collaborative practice was instrumental in demonstating the positive outcomes for patient care with the use of a clinical pharmacist.� This resulted in SB493 being signed in October 2013.� This update to the healthcare law�recognizes pharmacist has healthcare providers.� Dr. Shinoda is also a member of the Hematology Oncology Pharmacist Association.

He has been on various advisory boards for many breakthrough chemotherapy agents, as well as ancillary pharmaceutical agents utilized within the field of oncology.
