How do you try to make a difference in the lives of your patients?
I treat the individuals I work with as humans and not just as a client. I exhibit a nonjudgmental attitude while showing compassion and empathy towards them. I don’t confuse being an expert in the field with being an expert of their lives. I work with them and not dictate their treatment. Daily I remind myself that it could be me and at one point in my life I had a story as well and needed help. I look at the person as a whole and not just at the problem while using a holistic approach to address the mind, body and spirit.
